Total War: Arena, The next big MOBA?
Total War: Arena
The game itself has had 3 restarts, from Steam to Wargaming and now to China with NetEase. Many of the competitive teams from all over the world had already discussed the return of the game. Though the game will be restricted to China with its re launch through NetEase.
Creative Assembly has even discussed the possibility of changing tactics in better developing the game for its players and longevity. Most understand the potential risks involved, seeing as Wargaming's rewards nor the Steam rewards not being transferable, as all information was removed per GDRP regulations. A huge blow to the players. Some have their own information saved via emails and recorded footage, but this likely will not be an accepted format for rewards.
If you have purchased units from Wargaming or other rewards, they will NOT be transferred to NetEase version.
Where Wargaming left off, NetEase will be seeing the last build and adding or tweaking some changes to better the game and its in-game mechanics including the handling of premium units.

One thing to look forward to is the release of the Chinese factions in Total War: Arena. Though, the date is unknown, we do know that they will be in around the time, if not initially of the Chinese relaunch. We will also, likely see the Japanese faction soon after, as the faction was already in mid development during the Wargaming Beta.

With all that said, we are likely to see many of the top regional teams return! From Late Knights of NA, SUNTZU of EU, DreamTeam of RU/CIS, and HAN of APAC to name a few. All anxious to get back on the battle field. In the mean time, these teams will be planning to keep an eye on their Chinese brethren as China will finally have a chance to experience Total War: Arena. With hope looming that the game will succeed in China, bringing Total War: Arena back to the rest of the world with the possibility of turning it into the next big Esports title. Hoping SEGA has learned from its mistakes, and to see this game grow again.
One of our hopes is to see this game in the big stadiums whether in China, Europe, or even North America. Speaking of which, NetEase has recently announced plans to build a new Esports "park" in Shanghai! This is interesting to see and hope to see Total War: Arena played in it!
