ToyCard Speculation Buys Finds Sells and More #1
Welcome this is the first official post of ToyCard Speculation. After years in the trading card business both online and brick and mortar I've finally been able to take my love of toys and cards to the next level. My main goal is promoting the hobby of collecting to as many people as I can.
The cost of collecting has steadily been increasing, a pack of cards will cost $2.99 and up and a collectible statue will cost $49.99 and up. My hope is to help to reduce these costs for the beginner collector (even the advanced collector) which I hope will get more people into this wonderful hobby.

Got these 1968 Topps baseball cards off eBay. These cards while low grade are great for beginner collectors that don't have $100's of dollars to spend on high grade cards. We all have to start somewhere.
As you can see the fronts still have nice eye appeal. When grading cards I look at corners first followed by centering and then surface.
If you look close you can see the tape on the middle top between the players first and last name. Really a shame but back then cards were meant to be played with or taped to the wall like these were. We sometime get caught up in the value and forget the joy we had as a kid opening a pack to see what we would get.
Decided to list this Magic: The Gathering 7th edition foil uncommon Crypt Rats on eBay on Oct. 2nd 2018 and it sold within 2 hours for $42.99. Magic cards are still doing very well and if you are lucky enough to have alpha or beta cards in nm or better condition you maybe sitting on a gold mine. If your thinking of investing in magic cards please beware there are a lot of fakes out there so please be careful when buying high dollar cards.
