I was doing it (and more) all by myself manually before. Takes a loot of time, but I'm a bit of the stat-slut, loving counting, summarizing, making tables etc. HERE is my previous post of that type, from years before. It's actually a good source to check how does the platform develop, how does the SP of active writers grow etc.
Not sure if I'll continue with the list in that form though. I will be thinking about it.
I definitely see some pros of doing it. Simple example, manually checking 5k accounts allowed me to discover a couple of interesting profiles, including yours among others ;)
