I am afraid your due diligence is a tad weak. This project has a great vision, but not without their efforts. They already have their Testnet released, the Wallet prototype on Testnet is already there, and the TomoApp is being used by hundreds of thousands already. Their attestation towards their commitments has attracted so many top-notch advisors and investors in the project, including a partnership with NEO!
