How to create a token on the TRON blockchain

Before you start, you need to check that you meet the following requirements:

• The presence of a TRON address (1024 TRX), provided that the TRC10 token is created;
• The presence of an address with a smart contract, if a TRC20 token is created.

To create a token based on the TRON blockchain, the first step is to go to the Tronscan platform and connect the wallet. This is done using the button in the upper-right corner.

Then, by selecting Blockchain and then Token Tracker in the menu, you need to click Create Token ("Create Token"), which can be found on the right side of the screen.

At this stage, you need to specify which type of token will be created-TRC10 or TRC20. The platform provides some useful tips for choosing the type depending on the purpose of the token.

Then you need to enter information about the token, such as the name, ticker, and total issue. As for the TRC10 token, you can determine how much 1 token will cost relative to TRON (TRX). If you choose TRC20 tokens, you must enter all the information about your project: the address of the smart contract, social media accounts, and a link to the documentation.

After all the information is entered, you can start creating a new token. The commission for creating a TRC10 token will be 1024 TRX, or approximately $13; there are no fees for TRC20 tokens, but you must provide the smart contract address to cross-reference the data and load the address correctly.
