RE: tips to remove pesticides that stick to the surface of fruits and vegetables

in #tips7 years ago

Great post! Especially since so much of produce has been sprayed with pesticides.

Important to at least choose organic, especially for the "dirty dozen" list (in the US) - strawberries, spinach, nectarines, apples, peaches, pears, cherries, grapes, celery, tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, potatoes.

There's also a "Clean 15 List" - produce least likely to be contaminated by pesticides...

  • sweet corn, avocados, pineapples, cabbage, onions, frozen sweet peas, papayas, asparagus, mangos, eggplant, honeydew, kiwi, cantaloupe, cauliflower, grapefruit
