Tiny house building memories part1

in #tiny6 years ago

We have started with a 24 foot PJ trailer buggy hauler thanks for the tip to Ana White and her husband. Their blog and PDF and DAE file was helpful to start, and was easy to modify to our needs. I will post some detailed instructions how we did the bottom and framing later.
The biggest challenge we had, that we didn't have any property to build on. We have started building inside a storage unit, that is why the frame was designed to have two levels, but than we got kicked out of course, so we had to continue on a dead-end street (less traffic) The first plan was to do it until the first level, once we leave the storage doing the higher second level. Even though we got kicked out on the street, it worked out better because building parts of the frame was more manageable, starting from our apartment garage. The picture below is level one, and I have my head looking out the kitchen window.SteemTinyBig_01.jpg

The image above is my sweat Atalya. She was very helpful when we were assembling the parts of the frame.

We were working with no shadow and around 98 degrees Fahrenheit. The kids on the picture below is Atalya's sister's kids came to help and have fun!

The night time images show when I was doing a 24 hour non-stop building. I did it twice, on weekends.
