“Scorn not their naivety” - Warrior Crypto Poet
This is my entry into @v4vapid's Tin Foil Raps - A Paranoid Rhymes Contest:
Crouched down against the wall,
Bodies immobile like Bond in Skyfall.
As time to time they glance at each other
And still wonder why me, not another...
Direction nor guidance said
All eyes wild with tension and dread
Foil glints silent under moonlight
Shining gilded path, yet no man takes flight
Threat unheard, unseen and unknown
Only made real by mass fear
Or maybe age old primordial error
Entities, otherworldly, fiction and terror
Unnaturally skilled
Mercilessly faceless
Cunning, intelligent, vicious precision
Imagine, steady advancing, sinister derision
Imagery of shadowcast killers
Like Jackson’s cruel ‘thrillers’
Social media said to spread this frenzy
Much chagrin for hysteria and envy
Kicked off by false reports, spurious incidents
Mainstream effects degraded all dissidents
Unified by the ‘children of the net’
General public by the nose misled
Posting, logging, predicting blog and blabbing
Impotent to quell the panic through press gagging
Mass media fake news, idiot detection
Yet sober eye, given time for reflection
Perception through a different lens
Propaganda gave our brains the bends
True danger of technology was never deep space flight
Robots, AI or even megaton sunshine blast bright
Addiction to digital screens created panic
Loss of individual thinking is truly satanic
Yet scorn not their naivety...
Straining with all their might,
They grip their tinfoil tight,
God Bless the human plight!

Have you read any of my others?
I haven't yet - I actually forgot you can do multiple entries
No, not competition entries! Lol. This is my only one.
I meant my “normal” poetry, just in case you like it.
Yours aye,

Wow! Amazing work, @nickythecat. You really surprised me with this deep poem. You touch so many important topics. It's like a hectic city, but on the intellectual level.
Thank you so much! Do you like the others too?
