ATW Tech subsidiary Voxtel is reportedly planning to integrate the EMC2 digital currency throughout its platforms, thanks to a partnership between its parent company and the Einsteinium Foundation. The plan was announced in a recent press release, and involves a four-phase plan to deploy the cryptocurrency for Voxtel platforms like messaging, voice services, and mobile donations.

According to the company’s press release, that 4-phase deployment plan will see Einsteinium integrate Voxtel’s “payment gateway" to facilitate transactions of its cryptocurrency, and the implementation of a mobile wallet for Voxtel’s customers. In addition, Voxtel’s gaming and chat environments will implement a peer-to-peer exchange for the EMC2 digital currency.

Finally, the plan includes a strategy for enhancing EMC2’s convertibility into a number of the world’s major currencies – including the Euro and both the American and Canadian dollar.

“We are proud to integrate this very promising and well-known cryptocurrency to our global and unified payment solutions which already include voice billing, direct carrier billing, credit card and interac. This would allow us offer turnkey payment solutions and expand our customer base.”

EMC2 board member Jonathan Lauziere suggested that the partnership could have broader implications for the digital currency industry:
