Day 8 of #quiettime | How to spice up your life in a daily basis: #dailyhabits One chapter a day for one year challenge - MATTHEW 10

Good morning Steemians!

First of all, I want to express my gratitude to God for giving me another chance to live again and share the love not just with those close to me but also to those people who are difficult to love. Our #quiettime for today is about Benevolence.

What is Benevolence?

Benevolence is the desire to help someone. It is an act of kindness from the giver towards the receiver. The giver deposits it to a basket and later be deposited in the Benevolent Fund.
What is a Benevolent Fund?

This is the money collected during Sunday Worship Services from the giver, those people who has the the heart to give. The money will be deposited to the Benevolent Fund which will be used during emergencies.

Kinds of Emergencies

• Sickness / Illness

• Calamities

• Unemployed

• Accidents

• Children’s Outreach

There are lots of people who can benefit out of your money when you save. Thus, the motivation is to help those who are in need to glorify the name of God.

Save Money, Save Lives.

How can Benevolence benefit us?

What should be our hearts when giving?

Let us open our bible to Matthew 10:8

Matt 10:8

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons; Freely you have receive; freely give – Matthew 10:8

Insights – (the capacity to gain an accurate and deep intuitive understanding of a person or thing)

How can we relate this in our lives?

Take time realize…

• We FREELY receive God’s Word, we FREELY give God’s word to the people
• We FREELY receive God’s grace, we FREELY give grace to the people
• We FREELY receive God’s forgiveness, we FREELY give forgiveness to the people
• We FREELY receive God’s encouragements, we FREELY give encouragements to the people

There are lots of insights we can get with this scripture but let us focus on giving…

• We Freely receive God’s financial blessings, we FREELY give financial blessings to the people

Why is God blessing me financially?

• I believe God is blessing us financially so that we could be an instrument of God’s kindness to the less fortunate.

• He is encouraging us to be a blessing to others.

But…

Why is God not blessing me finanically?

I believe God if we are not blessed financially, we are blessed in another area of our lives and still be a blessing to others.

Examples…

• We FREELY give our time and effort in joining community activities and serving in God’s kingdom. Such as these…

Realization…

Either we are blessed financially or not blessed financially, one thing God assures us, we are still blessed – we still can be a blessing to others.

Isn’t God awesome?

Indeed He is a Great Provider…

He really cares about each and everyone of us. He never stops thinking and helping us in every way possible. He turn negative situations to positive solutions. Therefore, there is nothing to fear and worry about our lives. That we should trust His power and share what we know and experiences in God’s presence.

• Another reason, if you are not blessed financially, you are blessed with God’s Benevolence. You are the recipient of it. You still enjoy His provision.

Either blessed or not blessed…

We follow the same principle – FREELY RECEIVE, FREELY GIVE

• As we FREELY give today or tomorrow, let us remember that we FREELY receive God’s love, so we FREELY God’s love to others. – John 3:16

• Let us be ONE and the L.I.G.H.T. of this world

• Let us Learn In God’s Heart Today (L.I.G.H.T.) that we would be an instrument of HOPE to those who are feeling hopeless in their lives.

Let us pray

Dear Heavenly Father, truly God you are a God who provides. You provide us everything that we need. You provide us a source of income that we could provide to our family and others. Also You provide us Benevolence. You are a big help in our lives. We FREELY receive all these, we therefore, as gratitude to You, we FREELY give this to other people who doesn’t know have any and doesn’t know you yet. May you be pleased in everything we do. May your providence spread out to the world. All these I pray in Jesus name. Amen
