Foot Forward: 'Creating A More Compassionate World' Making The First Viewing Deck @ Mt Ulahingan

It was a tiring day but it was a very fulfilling moment. All are materializing. Tribal villagers are very excited with our progress. With my and our advocacy to help indigenous people, we are making difference here and will hope to make this as our model tribe to help more tribes nationwide (Philippines) and soon worldwide!

Idea is valued and richer than waiting for someone else to share it

The trekking site is set to open December 16, 2017. With one week left we doubled our time to make it in time. We wanted also that their Christmas celebration will be filled with joy and satisfaction. Our objective of "no indigenous" community will ever be hungry nor going to cities to beg will end soon. This project is solely within our pockets money and efforts to fund it more. Hence, the resources are within the tribal community that's why taking it place is somehow help us do things efficiently.

With handful busy people, we haven't recorded the actual construction of the viewing deck and since we are doubling our effort to finish it on time. after having a 25 sqm wood foundation extending to cliff, the viewing deck will be finish tomorrow. (rest day today hehehe)

The objective of this project is to help and make this particular community excel with there living. During this season, I always saw them in cities, begging for food and clothing's. Bringing their kids even babies along with them, visiting each and every houses asking for anything.

Hazardous to health and also their safety, the government decided to somehow stop them in going downtown every December. They've came up with a solution, the help from Davao City Government will send groceries and clothing's to areas such this area for their needs.

Since this is was seasonally done, we changing it again. We setting up a model tribe that has sufficient food on the table. Enough source of income. Keeping ancestral domain for generations and making a living that their generations to come will benefited.

It was crazy for some that we believe in our vision and mission. We received tons of negative comments since we are dealing with "untrusty people" as they've described it. However, with good intention to help and change lives we pursue our ideas and made them materialize. Soon, we hope that they will never get hungry nor uneducated people in the world.
