To Feed the Brain and Body
Do you have the good fortune of helping those children within your sphere of influence?
Meet Nina and Jay :)
This is the second year I've helped Nina (she's 6) with her homework.
Serious stuff, the homework a six-year old brings home. A list of ten words: Nina had one week to learn how to write them out correctly after hearing her teacher say the word.
She was crushing it by day three, EXCEPT for the word "plant."
That pesky "L" is apparently not that important in the mechanics of saying the word out loud... so why bother writing it out or even remembering that it belongs there?
Haven't heard back from her mum if she aced the test, Nina wrote out the word 'plant' several times more than required at my behest (that's what time it is in the photo).
That drink in the bottom right of the photo?
That's a "Babyccino."
Complete with a marshmallow.
Did Starbucks come up with this to hook 'em while they're young?!?
Nina LOVES them. Steamed milk with froth OR decaf coffee and milk; first I've heard of them!
Maybe her teacher will let her drink one during her tests in the future...
There's Jay chillaxing like a boss!
He's a little young for homework.
Maybe on my annual trip to the Australia next year I'll help him figure out blocks or something...
