Today i learned a little about the U.S Military-Industrial Complex

According to Franklin Spinney, and analyst for the DoD from '77-2003, the strategy for landing defense contracts with the pentagon was simple. You "lowball the estimate", you "over-promise capabilities", and you underestimate the burdens its going to cause the american public.

I just wanted to put this perspective out there to start conversation. If you've heard of instances where this rings true please leave a comment/link/w.e.
