TIL... new £5 note contains animal fat : Outrage among vegetarians!!!
I really think vegetarianism is OK. But those vegetarians who make a religion out of it... well. Words fail me!
Don´t get me wrong. I respect any religion, as long as no people are hurt or forced... (well I guess that reduces the amount of religions that I respect in a drastic way)
So what´s this all about?
It seems that the new british 5 pound note contains a (very, very small) amount of fat, which is taken most of the time from cows. A result was an outrage from hindus where cows are considered holy. Well... Holy Cow!
These were followed by vegetarians and vegans because they cannot live their chosen way, because money + animal fat.
The funny thing about that is the following:
I spend nearly the whole past 5 years, trying to persuade people of the importance to have a choice in the money they use and that a monopoly on money "production" is really bad for the economy. I never would have imagined that fat in money would do the job!
YAY, people are complaining for not having "a choice" about their money...

This is a surprising fact! I'm curious if all the pound currency contains animal fat.
only the new 5 pound ( due to higher stability, it seems ) and probably next year the new 10 pound as well. The "old" money is only cotton, I guess.
Again, the solution is Bitcoin. 0% fat. 0% sugar. 100% true money.
