TIL One of the Possible Reasons for the Destruction of Many Aboriginal Cultures
TIL one of the possible reasons for the destruction of many aboriginal cultures on our planet by the "Globalization" carried out by the governments of the Western and "developed" countries. All thanks to an old documentary that a friend recommended to me, "Mysteries of the Gods" based on the works of the researcher Erick Von Daniken.
The documentary supports the controversial thesis that we are a mixture of extraterrestrials that came to Earth long ago with terrestrial bipeds(monkeys?) and that these extraterrestrials influenced, in addition, many ancient cultures after that. All this has remained in the form of legend, songs and stories that have passed from generation to generation until "almost" reach the 21st century. This, by the way, is very similar to the story that Zecharia Sitchin claims to have interpreted from the Sumerians tablets .
Perhaps wanting to exterminate all of that culturally inherited knowledge will be a part of the so-called "Globalization" but should be called "Westernization"? A knowledge that if true, could change the history of mankind completely.
I am sure that many already know the documentary but if you have not seen it I recommend it. Very interesting to see all the places where they were and the amount of historical and socio-anthropological information that they collected in audio-visual format beyond the thesis that sustains.
I find Von Daniken interesting but a little bit mad. I don't put any stock in his theories but he is an entertaining fellow. I will watch this when I get some time though as it should be fun. Particularly since Shat is involved.
I think the same as you about Von Daniken ;) but the documentary is really worth to watch if you like anthropology and history. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Cool. Will add it to my Youtube list.
For sure, very crazy and open ideas they had in that times! :) I like that a lot, scientists with imagination and asking questions and not only accepting laws and theories like followers of a religion order ;) even in the NASA!!! Definitely where other times.
