Museum of Eternity in Yakutsk
Underground laboratory of Permafrost Institute in Yakutsk. Founder of Permafrost Institute M. Sumgin in the 20s offered to make an underground museum fridge, "museum of eternity", where will preserve the gene pool of the planet for thousands of years.
"Together with the corpses of animals in this museum, tens of thousands of years can be stored, and the bodies of people of different races. What will happen to mankind through many thousands of years, when drastically will change the way people live, their food, exercise, attitude towards each other, when humanity is in fact merge into one family. "
More M. Sumgin proposed store documents, manuscripts in the museum-refrigerator and to make anabiosis experiments. The laboratory, built in 1960, as an echo of the ideas.
Today, the most interesting exhibit of the museum - the dungeon itself, carved into the frozen ground.
