Incase you missed it, Buzz Aldrin, the second man to ever set foot on the moon, recently became the oldest person to reach the South Pole.

However he became ill while down there, after all even though it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere right now it is a bit chilly down there, peaking at around -24°C or -12°F.

He was reportedly suffering from water on the lungs and was medevaced to a New Zealand hospital for treatment. Once there, believe it or not, his doctor was none other that Star Man Dr David Bowie!
