A Domesticated And Beautifully Adorned Yak in Tibet - My Photo From 1989
I took this photo in Tibet in 1989 while on a semester abroad. This is a yak; it is a common beast of burden in the region. It is an important animal to the culture in a number of ways. I wonder if they are used as much currently as they were back then?
