2 Miscarriages, 1 Thyroid Cancer scare turns into a miracle.
Chloe (our daughter) was born August 2016 after a rough pregnancy I was recovering...
Three months later I found out that we were expecting again. You can imagine my excitement and anxiety. I was only 14 weeks post baby... scary but SO exciting. 6 short weeks later we lost baby. Heart breaking. Come END OF January 2017 we were expecting AGAIN!!
If you have ever had a miscarriage you know how scary and painful it is. 10 weeks along, I found out two heart wrenching things; there was no heartbeat and that there was a 1/2 inch mass on my thyroid. My body couldn't physically take anymore. I felt like I was falling apart, my body was rejecting pregnancy and organs. I was told it was stage 2 cancer. That I had to get it taken out at 23 years old. That March I had TWO D&Cs and a lovely night in the hospital...
May 2017. I lost so much weight, I couldn't sleep or eat. My hair was falling out from stress. I went under for a full thyroid removal. When I came out I was "overcooked" I was throwing up, couldn't stand, drink or swallow. The hospital sent me home. I was suppose to stay overnight. That whole day is a blur. The next day I found out that only HALF of my thyroid was taken out, my vocal cords were damaged in the process. I didn't have a voice for the next 6 weeks. (You can imagine how awesome that was with an 8/9 month old baby.) Check out that scar placement lol. When surgery was over the ran tests on the mass to see if it was truly cancer. IT WASN'T... they were wrong.
The end of June I became very sick, no rhyme or reason for it (or so I thought at the time) I decided that I needed to take a pregnancy test. Actually I took about 6 of them... 4 negative tests later I decided to take ONE final test... setting up my camera for this one.
I got my reaction on film. Probably the coolest things looking back. I got to tell my husband while he was away from training. I couldn't wait until he got home!! After everything that happened this past year... I am 33 weeks along and counting. Baby girl is coming soon. Its amazing how things work out.
Awww this is a great story
thank you : )
