ColorChallenge - Tropical, Evergreen forests in Panama.
Panama covers 60% of the forests. A vast part of this area is occupied by tropical forests, evergreen forests, which are a gathering of extraordinary diversity of plants and animals.
The number of species that make up the flora and fauna is one of the highest in the world. Creating such a great diversity was not only conducive to the climatic and natural conditions in Panama, but also to the fact that it was a bridge between the two Americas and the place of the species being mixed.
For decades, wonderful rainforests have been cleared for cattle and pasture. But there is an interesting paradox...
The presence of the surrounding jungle is necessary to irrigate the canal and maintain its navigability, so in spite of appearances, the local forests (at least in the vicinity of Panama City) do not seem to be threatened, if not for environmental reasons, for practical reasons.
It is possible that the investment that made the destruction here will become a guardian of the local nature.
May that be happened !!!
