Lightning Filled Skys and Wind Whipped Trees
I love watching thunderstorms. I took these during a rather intense thunder and lightning storm about a week ago. This is the second storm of the season. I watched the storm unfold from my semi-open back porch.
It was still light out when it occured around 7pm, but it was certainly hard to tell while it was happening.
There were wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour during the storm, a lot of people lost power for a while. A tornado watch was in effect all day and evening. Thankfully tornados are a very rare occurrence in this region and non were spotted.
It took around 20 minutes for the most intense part of the storm to pass. I saw some fantastic lightning, but unfortunately was unable to get any photos. Perhaps the next storm I will get some good lightning pics to share. Here's hoping!! :)

Hi @dog-marley! His name is Malcolm and he is very friendly and would indeed be your buddy! We go hiking often, he likes exploring and sniffing out critters. I will post about our adventures again soon! :)
