My feeling is that Isreal is trying to test the defence capability of the countries in question. Those countries are not taking the bait and, in the case of Syria, keeping the S Series Missle capabilities tight to their chest which is driving Isreal's military crazy... particularily after the nosebleed they received on the ground in Lebenon a couple of years ago, having their tanks repulsed. They want to know if they have lost air superiority as well. My feeling is that they have and that the noose is tightening.
