I dunno. I am not going to deny the possibility, but I watched it at full res on my original recording and I think it is just shadows. Shortly after I took this clip my dog ran up to me and before I took the clip I had myself run up the mountainside like a bear, whooping like a maniac, passing within 5' of that spot. I am nearly certain that if a deer had been bedded down there it would have taken off at either the first sound of me, or the first hint of my dog. @yeti-the-dog likes nothing better than chasing deer around and she didn't alert at all.
