Power Outage
A power outage happened today which I was thankful for.
All devices and sounds shut off, left with nothing but the stillness of the world and the crackling of fire flames.
Staring at the flames wrapped in a blanket gave me time to be present.
2017 is ending while 2018 is set to begin shortly. I know time is a concept, yet I feel strongly about the start of this new year.
Watching the fire and feeling its warmth really made me be thankful for the roof over my head, and appreciate the power of the earth’s elements; love what the earth provides a little more.
It is never too late to start anew, and never too late to appreciate what you had or have.
Make the most out of the last of 2017 to end strong and begin strong for 2018.
Nevertheless, 2017 can still be your year because it has yet to end.

STOPlove this! it seems so difficult to live NOW for most, i've learned first hand that loved ones and 'things' can be gone at a moments notice. so love with everything you have because now is all there is. this also means to love yourself. i think power outages are a blessing ; )
