Woke and replaceable

I am using @partiko to post this but before I started I checked the clear function. Thankfully they have added a warning popup dialog instead of just clearing a post. Twice my fat fingers have pressed clear instead of adding an image, which stopped me using it as after writing for an hour on a bloody phone, it annoyed me.

First world problems.

It is funny how seriously people take what should essentially be very minor issues in life, how frustrated we can get by what not long ago would have seemed miraculous, like flying, driving, talking to people who are not in the room, building, country or on earth at all.

We as a species do tend to get accustomed, comfortable and entitled very quickly and then claim, basic human rights as Ann actual thing. They aren't actually rights, they are ideals and, they are often far from basic. Basic would mean that a child could understand the concept without much explanation yet what people consider rights are nowhere near that level of simplicity.

What is interesting is that people want to be included in groups themselves but also recognized as the magical unique human being they are and apply labels to themselves that that they expect others must conform to otherwise, the nonconformist is excluded from the group. There is a whole lot of internal conflict in the way people operate, maybe it is our inconsistencies between beliefs and actions that unite us all.

I have plenty of inconsistencies but I wonder if it really is possible to have a life of no internal conflict or, is that attaining enlightenment? I know that there is still no one I have met who lives completely free of want or desire, no matter what is actually desired. Fame, fortune, social acceptance or just to be left alone; everyone wants something don't they?

I have heard several people over my time here complain about various aspects of Steem as is their "right" to do on the platform but, often the complaints aren't overly mature and much like my annoyance at the @partiko UI issue. Is it the end of the world to lose a post? Not really, life went on and, it will continue on further than my own.

I was talking to a client today who was telling me of a colleague who works a great deal because they feel that the company will struggle without them. That is very narcissistic and frankly, wrong. If they were hit by a bus tomorrow, the company wouldn't care at all. People in the company will but, they will move on too and spilt tasks until a replacement is hired. We are all replaceable.

I think that is a fear for many people I guess, irrelevance. At the end of the day though and no matter what we do or achieve, we will all be forgotten eventually. Is that a bad thing, does it matter?

As I see it, no matter if we are remembered by anyone, our actions are remembered through what we do as once a motion begins, it does not end and, we are part of a motion, not the lotion itself. While we think we are immensely important as a species, it is unlikely to be true as no matter what we do or becomes of us, nature will move on and be oblivious to our actions, even if affected by them in some way.

Nature doesn't care and it goes about its business unconflicted. It is enlightened yet, knows nothing at all.
