I've recently had the thought that what if STEEM, which is mostly feeless as you know, is actually the base layer. And since there are no fees attached - "gas" as some call it - would it then make sense for it to be really cheap? Like, do you think they would have tokenized TCP and IP if crypto had been aroudn back then? And if they had, would we even have the internet that we have today?
The RC credits might be much cheaper than the actual Steem (once RC credits can be delegated).
I think of Steem as the base layer now, the investment layer that enables all other tokenized experiences to operate upon it while still forming a greater community. And, RCs are the gas to interact, not transact :)
The fact that there are no tx fees puts a limit on STEEM value, no?

I don't think the lack of transaction fees does this as long as there is utility in other ways. I think the lack of transaction fees can increase the value as it makes using an exchange gateway cheaper - more to send.
