How did it happen? some crazy memories

One night me and the family took a trip up into the mountains to look at the stars. the night was clear and cool. Once you get up in these hills the stars really come out and shine. the destination we were heading towards is a small town.

  

This small mountain town has less than 40 people. When we rolled through at 10pm we noticed that there was vehicles at a town dance hall. About 25 vehicles surrounding this building at night. It was strange with so few people around, but we never stopped or investigated what was going on. We drove about a quater mile down the road to a spot near the water that was open for a great view. We were facing the building and could still see some of the cars with the naked eye at night from this spot. As soon as we parked, I noticed that my kid had fell asleep in the back seat. So it was just me and the wife watching the sky together. To us it was an hour or so of looking at stars. No one drove by us while we were outside of the truck. It was very quiet outside. Too cold for frogs, so it was just a few crickets chirping in the distance.

Then we got our stuff together and warmed the car up, and started to leave. As we got closer back to the dance hall we noticed there were no cars there anymore.

Not one car drove past us. We didnt see one headlight. I never heard one car start. What kind of ninja skills do these town people have with their cars? It was so strange. None of it made sense. The whole time we had around 12 houses in site also, and not one of those vehicles went there. It has been about 7 months and i still haven't forgotten it. I still come back to that thought of what could they have done? the circumstances aren't even possible. I wonder if we were memory wiped like men in black. Some aliens took us on the ship! Ha, but the crazy thing is i have no idea... It's like we were in our own universe for a hour, and when we came back nothing lined up.
