RE: Australia's shame - A rant

in #thoughts6 years ago

Hmm, yeah it's pretty hard out there at the moment and I doubt it'll get better with all the automation of tasks people used to do. I don't know much about America from the aspect of the job-scene...

I suppose thinking creatively, out of the box, may help locate something that might otherwise be off your radar. Not much help I know, but many tend to look within their limits as their paradigm sort of limits them to it...Looking without is a good way to turn up a little gold.

It's difficult here too man, some really struggle to find work and that brings other issues, not just financial. Emotional I mean; It can affect attitude, drive, ambition...All things I'm sure you're aware of I guess.

Sure am, the advice is good though. Thanks for the offering.

You're welcome. I wish you all the best with finding something sustainable of course. You guys got much planned for Christmas?

Not sure what we are going to do yet. Her family wants us to have Christmas eve dinner together, but so does my dad and his wife. I'm thinking that we will probably try to do Christmas Eve with her family and then have Christmas with mine, but we'll see. How about yourself?

Ah yes, the which family do see when conundrum. Seems like you have it worked out.

I have my brother here, his wife and 16 month old. We'll have a charcoal BBQ on Christmas day, probably mid afternoon, then eat too much pudding and laze around. It will be fun to have his son around as he is a little champ. Brings a fun element to Christmas.

I haven't seen my brother for a few years as you may have read on other posts so it will be good to have him around.

It's looking like 32 degrees here (90F) on Christmas day so should be good for a BBQ and a few beverages.
