Are Humans Electrically Charged?

Are human beings electrically charged?
How would we measure it?

I've been doing a lot of personal work lately and it seems like there's this electric charge to my compulsions. And when I stop and resist doing what I automatically do, the air seems to shake a bit. It's like I'm stopping the force that automatically carries me forward, like a sprinter that tries to stop mid-stride. I'm beginning to believe that thoughts and actions carry an electrical charge.
