Learning from others is possible even if the teacher is unable to learn themselves
This is something that took me a while to understand. I used to believe that if the speaker doesn't act accordingly with his words, then the listener doesn't need to follow the speaker's advice. But I was wrong.
Change can be made even if the person who delivered the initial idea is unwilling to act accordingly because if his listeners adopted to his words and do act accordingly and make the change, the speaker has already made a successful influence. Maybe not for himself, but for others.
Yes, they say, practice what you preach but just because someone doesn't do that, doesn't mean what they preach is wrong.
