Zeke Thoughts - Now
It is time for Zeke to get preachy. Well not really but sometimes you have some deep thoughts you like to vocalize, share and discuss. I love the conversation that happens in comments and the positive people who show themselves to share perspective. I am so guilty of this so often. Running a couple businesses of my own and being a dad, team mate and friend, I am prone to missing the moment for the thoughts spent solving the problems of tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be so much better because of the time I spend today to make it so. A little discipline and investing in your future is the way to success. If I don't do something today, I can expect the same tomorrow. I suppose that is true enough in moderation.
Being a victim of the past or mortgaging your now for the future that never happens does sound foolish. There are things you can do right now to enjoy the now. There is joy to be had and spread right this minute with the people you have in your company or those at the end of a phone call or message. There is beauty right in front of your nose right now that will be gone tomorrow. Anything could happen between now and then which devalues the time you spend right now preparing.
Smooch someone who doesn't expect it. Pick up that guitar on the wall. Read the next page of that awesome book. Learn something. Talk to someone. Pet that dog, smell those flowers and breath that air. That is life. Part of your happiness should be drawn from the perfect sequence of events which have lead you to now and the fact that you have avoided every single way to die for all the years you have been around.
