Each and everyone of us are born with instincts. The definition of instinct a fixed pattern of behavior in animals in response to certain stimuli. These instincts are responsible for most of the choices we make. Most call it going with your gut. Instincts can keep us safe such as throwing your arm in front of a child to protect it from a hard stop in that car. But some can be harmful such as when we use our instincts to make brash decisions instead of informed ones.
