Selling today's grape harvest , challenge identify the variety ...there's a clue in the post & a nice SBD prize.
I did a previous post a month ago & now the grapes are ripened and ready for marketing.
It's the earliest variety i have in my farm stars to ripen late July .
I try to plant every variety i lay my hand's on In small amounts so when I go to the grocery store i don't have a lust on what he has & i don't.
Shame this year grapes are sold in very low price compared to other fruits which are soring.
3 years ago grapes where the most expensive type of fruit you can buy , this year is the complete opposite the cheapest type of fruit you can buy an example roughly a good type of grape sells for 3 dinars a kg .... peaches 7-10 dinars . Even the local peaches 6-8 dinars.
We have a saying in our culture says. grapes are the king of fruit's
but this year I just can't rap my head around the price.
For the challenge.......
the first person who names the variety gets 50% of the posts SBD after payout .
Until next time you're fellow steemian @topslim
I should have known, but I never really thought about how many different varieties there could be of grapes! I just thought of purple and green. haha.
Varieties are being cornered in the market , bcuz as a consumer we want grapes with large berries , seedless , & a familiar taste . So that's where the industry is heading .
I know i have made a lot of promises with out delivering . but i will try to make a post of the varieties i have .
@farmstead thank you for the visit.
I think all your posts are great! :) I look forward to them!
Black magic, had to find your previous relaxing post. But it's a good harvest right. what other crops do you plant?
Yes v.Good but gets better the vines are still young 3-4 years ....congratulations your right .
I'm trying to fill the gaps between each other fruit ,by the type of fruit or multiple varieties in the same fruit so all year i have something to eat . Like grapes earliest June last October .
water melon is a nice thing to have in summer.
That's nice. So what drives the price of the grapes? less demand or is there an excess supply this year?
You can't understand the currency is devalued 400% but the price less than last year .
People don't have money but they buy the hyperinflated imported fruit.
Excess supply ... but majority of grocery stores don't have grapes .
im sure there's a reason and I am not seeing it.
Sorry to bother you with my problems
Not a bother. It's always good to share.
Nice harvest, they look delicious.
Thanks @topslim
I've gotten the prize!
