It was just the two of them, stumbling through the jungle. Drew and Aidan had been talking about the latest PS4 game strategies and somehow lost the trail leading back to civilisation.
"Just great dude! We are 20 miles from nowhere and I don't have any signal on my iPhone" Drew mumbled angrily
"Signal! I ran out of batt like ten minutes ago, we are so screwed" Aidan shook his head " Is there a compass on that blasted thing? Do you know how to read the stars? "
"The stars? It's 3pm in the afternoon, " Drew slapped his friends shoulder
"Not now! when it gets dark and we become tiger catnip" Aidan stopped to take a sip of water

That scenario is scary and yet in today's high tech world , highly likely. When did you last learn how to even read a compass except for reading Feng Sui directions?
Tell me if you even know which direction to go if you chance upon the North Star?
The best advise I can possibly give these two boys is to walk towards a clearing and pray for some reception so they can call the forest ranger or 911.

Hopefully there will be more educational posts about what to do when you are lost out in the wilderness. Either that or stay home in your skyscraper condo building with your VR Helmet and experience the brave outdoors safely in the confines of your head.

The background narration came out of nowhere! both boys froze and Drew looked up to the sky
"God" he whispered "Is that you" he said trembling
"No! it's not God, I'm just a comment bubble sprung up in your social media tuned head"
Aidan screamed but took heed the advice from the creepy voice.
They ran as fast as their legs could take them to the nearest clearing and for the love of Steve Jobs managed to with the last 2% power left on their iphone ,send their location to their mother's mobile.

The moral of the story?
Dude carry a power bank at all times!
