Teddy Today: and then Flash caught the butterfly
Being the caring big brother that he is, Flash caught the butterfly and brought it to Teddy to play with.
I heard a strange meow at the back door and saw Flash had the big black butterfly in his mouth. All half-dead tropies are brought around to the back door so that Teddy can play with them, because shame, he needs to learn to fend for himself after all. cat logic :)
Sorry little butterfly. This morning it was back where we saw it yesterday. It was pretty big and quite lethargic so I suspect it was at the end of its life anyway.
Teddy is still sore but he seems to have had a good night.
That is a good brother that Teddy has, funny how that works even in animals.
They have a funny kind of relationship. They won't groom each other and cuddling only happens when it's really cold and they both want to be on my lap. But they will go looking for each other and they play together every day.

Are Flash and Teddy related? Flash a sweetie.
They're adopted brothers but not related. We got Flash a year earlier in another town from an animal rescue organisation.
Great they get along.
The cat's tail is used to maintain balance.
