RE: Stee.... - Now Abusing Yours Upvotes. ( Ask to edited the Title )

in #the-guardian9 years ago (edited)

@bullionstackers, we've been friends a long time and I appreciate your contribution. In this instance, you've pulled the trigger too fast without proper investigation.
First, every curation effort makes mistakes. I don't know if one was made here or not. It's possible.
Second, I've been working closely with @instructor2121 on the SteemTrail project. Curation is pursued vigorously. All our documentation on the process is available for anyone to look over. Still, sometimes something slips through the cracks. I'm not aware that it happened here, but refer to "First".
Third, if you're going to accuse someone, you should make some effort to discuss this with them first. Shooting first and asking questions later is the practice of a banana republic. We expect more from friends and respected members here.
Fourth, even groundless accusations can damage reputations. We've seen a rash of this with irresponsible accusations of both Curie and Steem Voter recently. Are either of them blameless? Maybe not. But the drama far exceeded any clear mistakes made. And never was it proven that anything untoward was being done on purpose.
Fifth, I follow the SteemTrail voting with my account and do not see that my vote was used on the linked posts. Not sure what to make of that other than that it never happened. It's possible that the vote was retracted too.
Sixth, I respectfully request that you delete the title of this post as well as any accusations toward SteemTrail in the body until you have spoken to @instructor2121 about this. He's a great guy and will listen to your concerns thoughtfully.
Seventh, SteemTrail doesn't hold anyone's keys. The trail is in Streemian.

I do have the Evidences.
No I don't Pull The Trigger Fast. I know when I see one.
I know where this Upvotes comes from. Because I do have Outsource that informed me.
Have been a few night now, doing Full Investigation. I know which accounts comes from which Curation Trails.
I removed Title as per request. But that doesn't mean I will stop my investigation.
This Curations Trails actually , Make #steemit looking very bad.

That's an entirely subjective perspective. The fact is, curation guilds/trails are a part of Steemit now. We can either fight a tidal wave that we'll never win against, or we can do what we can to make it work better. I've opted for the latter.

  • Curie helps provide votes for new members. This is important and very helpful to the system, as it encourages new members and redistributes much of the lopsidedness that folks complain about. They do not get your keys. It's all above board. Check them out in Steemit.chat.

  • Robinhood Whale is very similar, with some unique differences. Check them out in Steemit.chat.

  • SteemVoter is a service. Yes, you give your voting key. They trade their service for a vote a day. Take it or leave it. There's nothing hidden about it.

  • SteemTrail votes on various articles submitted by curators of specific topical trails. You can see it all in the server (linked below). This service helps promote the better content, regardless of popularity. And the new TRAIL coin rewards participants and authors irrespective of their popularity or Steem Power. This too helps to level out the reward system, since the in-house one is proportionate to SP.

That post was pretty old, which is a factor. And, again, you didn't speak with the accused before making accusations. But we more than welcome your investigation.

I'd love to help by providing all the information I can. Here's the SteemTrail Discord server. Please hop in and check out all we're doing. You can find our documentation in the pinned posts in the #steemtrail channel.

Again, SteemTrail does not hold keys of their followers. Our trail is in Streemian. It's completely voluntary. Followers can opt out when they want and we have no power to opt them out. They can choose to follow just post votes or both post votes and comment votes. If they disagree with the voting, they can choose a different operator. The only possibility of abuse would be if we voted for something outside what we've promoted.
It's also worth noting that SteemTrail has matured quite a bit over the past couple of months. Voting criteria and practices have been defined more clearly and have become far more consistent. Please look at our recent voting practices for evidence.

All of this is clear in our documentation, as well as in the practice of the project overall. Feel free to ask questions in the #ask-rick-and-joe channel. We'll do all we can to help you understand the project better. You still might disagree, since you're against voting trails/guilds anyway. But at least you'll have a more informed disagreement.

I don't Joe.
Nothing to do with me. I am not against anyone here.
Anyway Thanks for the info. I will ping you first for your consultation first. I have better things to do than wasting my time. This voluntary work doesn't pay. Maybe I should take Bribes.
But this is not me.
I stand for Justice. This community need someone impartial. That's me.
