Batumi, Georgia. The city that conquered me.

Hello! In my first post, I would like to talk about the beautiful city of Batumi, which is located in Georgia. It would seem that in this city by the sea, with a lot of mountains, I should conquer .... but it all happened the other way around.))) And soon you'll understand why.

Some general information. The port city of Batumi is today the tourist heart of Georgia.
Its origin goes back to ancient times, it is believed that the first mention of this city was in the writings of the Greek philosopher Aristotle as far back as the 4th century BC and was located on the territory of ancient Greek Colchis. I will not dwell on this in more detail, I will share interesting pictures. But for those who decided to go on a trip, you will not regret, as the city has a very rich and interesting history, and many historical monuments have been preserved.
Of course, the nature in these places is amazing. Some species are so fascinating that it seems as if you are in a fairy tale. This is the serenity and grandeur of the mountains, the stunning waterfalls that sink in the greenery of the National Parks and the Botanical Garden.

The city itself will not leave without impressions. At every step will be various architectural monuments, an excellent embankment (of course you will have to slightly upset the lovers of the sandy beach, the beach in Batumi from the round stone - pebbles) and of course the abundance of restaurants with traditional Georgian hospitality.

About the kitchen is worth saying a few words. It's amazingly delicious ... Georgians are very proud of the fact that all products in the stores are natural and environmentally friendly. Dishes in restaurants are prepared everywhere from home products, as well as the famous Georgian wine, in any store it will be real. On arrival, when the driver drove us to the hotel, I asked where I can buy real Georgian wine, to which I caught a surprised look and an equally surprised answer: "In the store ...."))) And it turned out to be true. Tested personally. I asked this question, because in many shops in Russia you can stumble upon some fake alcoholic beverages. Prices in Georgia are very democratic. For example, dinner for two in a good restaurant with live music and fine wine cost about $ 30.

Also there is a fish market on the street by the sea, a very cool place. Why? Because local fishermen are taking all their fresh catch to this market. And visiting it, you can choose any sea fish to taste, then ask her to clean (costs about $ 1 per kilogram) and cook! You can boil it, fry it on the grill, in general as you wish. The price is also very democratic, about $ 3-5 per kilogram (depending on how to cook). Is not cool?))

Among other things, the city is very modern. In Georgia, a casino is not forbidden. Many go there just for a smile of fortune)) There are big supermarkets, fast food (McDonald's) who there just eat it, I do not understand)) Transport in its majority - it's a hybrid electric car. And quite inexpensive taxi. A large number of stations for charging in the city. What is said about the correct policy of the state regarding the preservation of the environment. In general, a lot of foreigners come to Batumi to endure and give birth to a child, as the local climate and ecology are among the best in the world.

I am happy to go again to Batumi, there are still a lot of places that I would like to visit and tell about them. Similarly, Georgia is very loyal to the crypto-currencies. It is believed that this country is on the third place in terms of the number of mining capacities, after China and the United States. And not surprisingly. To do this, there is a loyal state policy, cheap electricity and natural cooling in the mountains, and what else is needed?
