RE: Boys, we need you!
I didn't fully agree with everything you said in your article, but much of it. I am likely going to be hanging out with the guys and @reddust talking about whatever. I don't like the stereotypical "girl stuff". Shopping, Drama, too many shoes, etc.
I do however have a nurturing personality and other "girl-like" features. I am more emotional, he is more reserved emotionally. In my house I kill the spiders and mow the lawn, but he fixes all the broken stuff and helps me with the heavy lifting. I clean faster, he cleans deeper. We have taken turns earning more and less than each other. It is always a careful dance when you do not have traditional roles.
My husband is a protector and a lover and I wouldn't want it any other way. I sum it up with - We are equal and very different.
Nice conversation ladies. I enjoyed reading what you both had to say about it.
That is a really nice view @whatsup. I very much like the idea of the "careful dance", that's a beautiful description. Obviously that dance is something very personal and there are no books that describe the ideal choreography. It evolves between two persons that care for each other and the common way, giving and taking, loving and being loved.
I think I should write more about relationships, it's so fulfilling to have all these great talks with you :)
