The Diary Game (19 August 2024): A Day of Uncertainty: My Daughter's Health issue
We plan and make schedules for the next day before sleeping at night, thinking 'I'll do this and that tomorrow.' But in reality, we don't even know if we'll wake up the next morning. We Humans are very weak; we can't do anything on our own. Everything that happens or doesn't happen is God's will. Yet, everything is based on hope.
Yesterday, my daughter was unwell, and I mentioned it in my previous diary. That day passed, and I set my schedule for the next day. But that same night, my daughter had a high fever again. I spent almost the entire night sitting beside her, sometimes holding her head, sometimes placing cold compresses on her forehead. She was in a lot of discomfort. Somehow, morning arrived. We had breakfast, and I dropped off my son at school. Warisha was still sleeping. We were giving her medicine, but the fever wouldn't subside; it kept fluctuating.
I decided to take my daughter to the hospital again because I thought it was necessary to get her checked by a child specialist. I called the hospital to confirm the specialist's timings and found out they arrive at 1:30 pm. The wait was difficult for us, but I utilized the time to finish some other tasks. Then, at 1:15 pm, I took my daughter to the hospital on my bike and got a slip made at the counter. We started waiting for the doctor. I had forgotten to bring my phone with me. After waiting for 30 minutes, the doctor arrived, and our number was the first.
The doctor checked my daughter and I told him about the previous day's checkup and showed him the previous doctor's prescription. The doctor said we need to get a blood test done for typhoid. He prescribed two tests; one was CBC, and I didn't understand the other. Anyway, I went to the counter, paid for the blood test fee, and the compounder came and took my daughter's blood sample and sent it to the lab.

Anyway, after waiting for about 30 more minutes, we got the blood test reports. I got the doctor to check them, and she said it's a viral infection. He added another syrup to the previous medicines. I told the doctor to please prescribe whatever medicine, but please make sure my daughter's fever subsides.
The doctor prescribed the medicine, and I bought it from the pharmacy and went home. My wife gave the medicine to my daughter, and then we had lunch. After that, I took pictures of the prescription and medicines on my mobile and checked Steemit and notifications.
I had a brief conversation with a Steemian friend on Discord about the new announcement (Teaching Teams) on Steemitblog. But I was worried about my daughter's health. I wanted to spend time with her. An hour after taking the medicine, my daughter's fever subsided a bit. But I was very tired and needed to rest.
However, it was time to pick up my son from school, so I went to pick him up. When I returned, I had tea and spent some time with my younger son. Then I decided to skip all my other tasks and sleep. I hope my daughter recovers soon and becomes active and healthy like before. She has become very weak in the past two days, and her face doesn't have the same glow as before.

Best wishes for your daughter's recovery! Incidentally, I always regard a fever as a good sign that the body, or rather the immune system, has taken up the fight against an infection.

Thank you for your kind wishes for my daughter's health. I was worried because the fever had weakened her so much that she couldn't even walk properly. She was just crying. Now, the fever has reduced compared to before... maybe she'll be fine in a day or two. The doctor has called us for a follow-up checkup after two days.
