100 DAYS OF STEEM : The Diary Game. My 8th day June 17, 2020.
Greetings to all readers. I (@maksina) is with you again.
For most of the day, I wrote a response to the reviewer for his comments on the article on predicting the state of the Earth’s external radiation belt, but I think that this is not very interesting to my readers. Therefore, I’d better talk about my evening walk and the monuments around my house.
Значительную часть дня я сегодня писала ответ рецензенту на его замечания к статье о прогнозировании состояния внешнего радиационного пояса Земли, но думаю, что это не очень интересно моим читателям. Поэтому я лучше расскажу о моей вечерней прогулке и памятниках вокруг моего дома.
If we go along Michurinsky Prospekt towards Moscow State University, the closest monument to us will be the monument to Indira Gandhi, standing on the square bearing her name. A short smiling woman stands on a high pedestal. I remember how her son Rajiv, young and handsome, came to the opening of the monument. Who then knew that he too did not have long to live.
Если идти по Мичуринскому проспекту в сторону МГУ, то ближайшим к нам будет памятник Индире Ганди, стоящий на площади, носящей её имя.
Невысокая улыбающаяся женщина стоит на высоком постаменте. Я помню, как на открытие памятника приезжал ее сын Раджив, молодой, красивый. Кто тогда знал, что и ему тоже осталось недолго жить.
If we cross Lomonosov Avenue, we will find ourselves near the monument to her compatriot - Maham Gandhi. It is incredibly unpleasant for me to hear that monuments to him are demolished somewhere, declaring it rassis. I am sure that nothing threatens our monument.
Если перейти через Ломоносовский проспект, то мы окажемся около памятника ее соотечественнику - Махаме Ганди. Мне невероятно неприятно слышать, что где-то сносят памятники ему, объявив рассиситом. Уверена, что нашему памятнику ничего не грозит.
Monuments appear, someone no longer remembers who they are, and only Moscow State University is an impregnable community, he is always with me.
Памятники появляются, кто-то уже и не помнит, кому они, и только МГУ стоит неприступной громадой, он всегда со мною.

Согласна, МГУ лучше всех всех. Столько то выдающихся студентов выпустил за все годы своего существоания.
И с подсветкой в ночное время выглядит потрясающе!
Надеюсь, что с этими памятниками ничего не случится.
