...you dive into the rising pool
You jump into the water grim
The pool is deep; you start to swim
You brush past banks of jagged rocks
You can't swim up; a ceiling blocks
You hold your breath and paddle fast
You reach the tunnel's end at last
You push up, gasp with heaving chest...
...tread water, while you think what's best
...and search for somewhere dry to rest
...then swim back down, the depth to test
...and NO ONE's going back down there!
