The steem and steemit community are poised to really grow in my opinion for all the reasons you listed. I am in here for the long haul as is most everyone that I know on here, I also see accounts that have been dormant for months that the owners have found their way back in and are becoming active again, which in and of itself is a very positive sign in my opinion.
Success is more or less assured for those who stay on Steemit for the long term. Unfortunately, most users have high expectations when they join and leave when they realize that they have to work hard for success.
Good to hear that you're here for the long term too!
