The random acts of kindness; Emmanuel starts school..

Hi everyone

When i was thinking and feeling excited that the job is done for the week,i got another opportunity to spread the hand of kindness to the boy Emmanuel.

I have been on this campaign for some weeks now,though i started writing about them few days ago not to brag about them but to tell the whole world to do the same.

Though i don't have as much money as i hope to invest into this project yet,but i won't allow that dream to die inside of me without fulfilling them.

From now on,i will make it an act to be dividing all my rewards on steemit into two equal halves, where the first part would be used to support this project "the random acts of kindness" and i would be using the other half for my personal needs as well.... A very big thank to @everlove for suggesting that beautiful name.

Ever since i gave myself for this mission,i have learnt that people don't need so much to be happy,they only need to be remembered at time. Try and do the little you can, stop complaining about it been so little.

    The random acts of kindness

Here is the story of boy Emmanuel who i happened to know through a neighbour.

Emmanuel is a three year old boy who looks and act maturely than his age. He speaks with great boldness.

Ever since i have been seeing him in the neighborhood,i have never met with his father. Though later i was made to understand that he had abandoned him and his mother for two year. I don't know the root cause of their separation,but i will try and find out and see if i can help in bringing them together again.

One early morning when i was walking round the neighborhood,i saw Emmanuel playing with sand when other children of his age are already in school.

I was so curious to see his parents and ask why he wasn't in school. That was when a neighbor told me about him,so i asked for his mother so that i can speak with her

The woman took me to her and we had a serious conversation

Here is what she told me about the boy not going to school.

She said,she has been the only one fending for the boy for the past two years since the father abandoned them. She struggled to put food on the table for the two of them to eat,so she don't have enough to send the boy to school.

Anybody reading from Nigeria would testify that you are not recognised without a certificate in Nigeria, in fact we are in an era where talents and inner abilities means nothing without a certificate.. I was so concerned about the boy and his future.

She continued with what she was telling me that she allowed the boy to be playing around that early morning because she had nothing to offer him that morning.

Tears almost rolled down my cheeks when i had about this,but i dip my hand into my wallet and brought out #1000 (one thousand naira Nigeria money) thats almost $3, i handed this money over to her to go get something for the boy and i left her place with a promise to check on her and the boy in the evening

So,when i got there,i met the boy happily enjoying his meal as you can see from the above picture and the one below as well

I was so happy i met the boy in such a good condition,so i told the mother to look for a school in the environment. She was shocked to hear this,she said

"but uncle i told you i don't have money to send this boy to school"

I told her i would pay for his primary education,but if i have more,i can sponsor his secondary education as well.

She was so happy to hear about this,she told me she would look for one immediately.

She called me after three days that she had got one,so i followed her and the boy to the school and we registered him, i pay for all the materials he will need on that same day.

Now Emmanuel is a school boy,i wish him success in his academic pursuit,and i pray i have more money to sponsor him far beyond primary education.
