The Diary Game Day 9 : Saturday May 30 2020 Space X Launch Day

Today was an incredible day in the History of American Civilization

It is the day that The USA launched their own rocket into space sending Bob and Doug into Orbit on the Space X Dragon designed by Elon Musk and his Team of genius Engineers.

The last time Americans flew their own Rocket ship into Space was 2011.

Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken made the journey wearing SpaceX suits, inside a SpaceX capsule, atop a SpaceX rocket, from a SpaceX-operated launchpad. The astronauts are bound for the International Space Station, humankind’s only off-world residence, where one American astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts are waiting for them. The successful launch makes SpaceX the first private company to put astronauts in orbit, a feat achieved by only three spacefaring nations: Russia, the United States, and China.

We were up early with the kids to watch this Historic Event from the early morning. Having breakfast lunch and dinner in front of the TV.... the way I used to watch the Space Shuttle launch when I was a kid

So it was awesome and a little nerve wracking to watch but I’m so glad we did.

This is the moment they were given the all clear as far as weather.....

And This is the moment of lift off.
