Mini Challenge #1 :My experience with translators and how to use them for effectivecommunication.
Although I am new to steem I have made it a point to try my best possible to understand written posts in foreign languages. I do strongly believe that we must not neglect posts simply because they are not in our mother tongue and must do our best possible to read the ones in other languages as well. Language translators are powerful tools and we must make best use of them.
I have made use of Google translate a number of times. It is free and works great. I mostly use it on my android device as I find that really simple and easire but I've also used it on my laptop as well. I'll show you how I utilised it yesterday in theshoppinggame on my android phone.
Step 1. Copy the text you would like to translate.
Step 2. Navigate to translate.google.com
Step 3. Under the and "detect text" section, paste the copied text.
It even tells you the language the orignal text was written in as shown below.
Step 4. Go ahead to choose your preferred language.
Step 5. You can search for any preferred language output with the search box.
Step 6. Voila! Your text is now in your preferred language. Mine is set to English and I'm now good to go.
Google translate is great and very easy to use. However I did notice some slight errors in it. For instance in the text below "subscription" is used instead of "favourite" but the overall text was understood which makes it very efficient.
I haven't tried other translators as google translate meets my demands.
Note: Similarly you can easily translate your text into any language by just typing in the dectect language section, and then converting to the language of your choice.
Now let me show some examples of my comments in theshopping game in other languages.
Thank you for your attention.
