Dear diary,
so it seems, the long-awaited call of going back home finally came in from the Nigerian embassy here in Ghana, we have been in touch and trying to work a way back to our country, the lockdown has been as a result of the Corona Virus outbreak and borders have been closed for a long while now, we have been held back here for months and now it seems we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
This is just like every other morning in Kumasi city where I have been putting up for months, it is a very nice environment.
going out for a stroll very early in the day.
the reason I love Kumasi is as a result of the blend of rural and the township feeling you get, the place has high cultural values.
people from this region are called the Ashanti people and they majorly speak Twi.
my coming here has been both educating and entertaining.
Educating as a result as I got to learn a little of their cultural values which are so different from what we had back home in Nigeria.
Entertaining as a result of the number of fun places to visit and all, I really loved it here but we have to move.
I have been homesick for a while now, I just can't wait to get back.
we needed to get somethings for our family back in Nigeria, it is as a result of a tradition that we should come home with a gift whenever we travel as a sign of good faith.
We decided to visit the famous Kejetia market here in Kumasi, we heard it is one of the biggest and modern markets in west Africa.

I can only commend the president for the good work though the market is still under construction, I am glad to have had the opportunity to come to visit.

the tour of the market was accompanied by long walks.
We ended the day with a few drinks to help relax.
