I have three dogs. The first won't be included in this because he was a joy to leash train and walks perfectly. My second, a now 2 year old Aussie has been a nightmare. She slipped so many collars when she was a puppy I haven't felt safe in anything but a harness. We've been using the easy walk for about a year but it's inconsistent in correction for her. Usually it's great, but sometimes it's worse. When we got the third Aussie, who is now about 10 months, I got a regular kong harness with a front and back loop. After she was about 6-7 months old, we started using the front loop to walk her to cut down on pulling. Her attention span is super short and while she's great in one on one training or in calm environments, it all goes out the window when she sees something even remotely interesting...like a leaf. 😂

I didn't imagine that the gentle leaders would be something we'd like. I was so certain that my two pullers would hate it and fight it the whole time. After a friend demonstrated it in action with a lab puppy, I decided to finally give it a try. All the pet stores I looked at only had it in your standard black/red/blue and I wanted something more fun so the donuts were a no brainer, haha. One has all pink stuff and the other has all purple, so I like that it'll go with everything we have for them. I ordered one and figured I'd order a second IF we liked it.

We've only done a few walks with both girls but it INSTANTLY made a difference. My more rambunctious one doesn't even seem to mind it that much, the puppy fusses more but still not even a fraction of what I thought it would be. Both girls tug slightly still but only at about 10% of the pulling strength before and the correction happens in seconds. I cannot recommend this enough! We already bought our second one, in donuts too. I'm excited to work with them on leash training again!

I love this head halter.
My gsd service dog is still young, and I admit the first store we ever went to.... We knocked over a calendar rack at the entrance cuz she swiveled her head around and just.... Yeah.
We started out with almost a muzzle/head halter hybrid, and once that bit the dust I ordered this one.
My town had gotten used to how much bigger my gsd is vs my last SD...
And they weren't afraid of her maybe wanting to eat them(that was never a risk, I just know many were nervous and having the muzzle hybrid helped them get used to the fact she wasn't interested in eating them at all...)

My dog likes this head halter, and will give me her snoot when it's time to put it on.
I love how it's designed, very soft and the straps were sewn together with how this item should sit on their snoot in mind....

I use it for directions with my gsd, though we are getting the hang of how to walk and she's starting to pick up on the leash that's attached to her harness for directional commands...

I also ordered one for an in training pair that I'm helping out...
It's really helped with her dogs attention.
I will warn it takes some work to get the dog used to it....

I didn't have any trouble, as I train and foster dogs regularly and always make sure to muzzle train them just in case they ever have to go to the vet hurt....
The first step is always getting them used to a snoot loop, then I get them used to a muzzle.

But it took a few weeks for the other pair to come to terms with the head harness...

Like I said, it's soft and it's got padding on the top of the nose...
It's durable, no worry of it breaking as of yet and I've had mine nearly a year....
And it's survived a very outdoorsy type GSD, that took it into the lake once....

Like I said, I love it. And my dog seems to like it more than the other two we've had-, a snoot loop and the muzzle/head halter hybrid...
I love that it doesn't pull up into her eyes like a snoot loop.

I am a 60 year old woman who has back problems severe enough I need to use a cane to walk. I weigh 112 lbs. & have a 2 year old pitbull who weighs 57 lb. You do the math.

Holy cow! We adopted a very abused but sweet and beautiful German Shepard but we haven’t been able to walk her. She has general anxiety and aggression towards men and other dogs. Bought these for my cat and my sister's for the Christmas season. Really good value for the the price as you get two in an order. The quality feels on par with that of a standard break-away collar that you might buy at a pet store. The bows are removable, and the pattern snads out nicely with or without the bow. My only minor complaint is that fur clings to them considerably more than any other pet collar I've used, but for a a pair of seasonal collars, I'm not mad at that :)
