Sami does not like it much but is getting use to it. Sami is an English pointer and loves to hunt while on a walk. She will pull your arm off on retractable leash but with this she is easy to handle. I even hook retractable to this and am able to give her a little roaming capability but the pulling has mostly stopped.

My border collie fought this thing before he got used to it. He tried several times to tear it off of his face, but failed to. Although he did manage to twist and mangle it in a way that was very uncomfortable for himself. I was nice enough to straighten it. He is used to it now, and I love that it turns him away from distractions. He is not socialized yet, so he corrects himself anytime he tries to go for another dog. He probably doesn't realize it, but that's how it goes. With a harness of sorts on his face, I feel like I'm guiding a horse around who has no choice in the direction we go instead of fighting a barking dog that refuses to even acknowledge my existence when he gets excited. I would recommend this to anyone who has a dog with any sort of pulling issues. He literally cannot pull me because his face ends up facing me if he tries. Very helpful product.

My 55lb pittie is pretty adaptable, and this product definitely took some adjustment but it is so much easier to walk him without straining my arm/ shoulder. I recommend using the two point training lead, with one side attached to the halti head collar and the other side attached either to the regular collar or harness for safety. Even a gentle tug on the head collar stops my dog in his tracks. It’s easy to steer him where he needs to go and he won’t bolt / chase because he knows he won’t get far with the halti on. Just be sure to reward your dog and make putting on/ wearing the head collar a positive experience so they’re not afraid or apprehensive of it and they will come around and get excited when they see it because they know it means time to go outside!
