Helping Others On Thanksgiving
Thanks to the voluntary charity of many thoughtful individuals, thousands of free thanksgiving meals are going to be given away this holiday season. There are countless people who don't have any family to go and visit this thanksgiving season, and thousands who don't even have a warm place to sleep at night. But thanks to the generosity of many, they will be able to get a delicious holiday meal.
In Denver, roughly a dozen local food trucks are planning to gather for their very first "Food Trucksgiving" and they will be handing out meals until they run out of food! One Los Angeles Mission has already handed out thousands of free meals just this week. There are also many free meals being given out by a number of churches around the country, the Salvation Army, local food trucks, a number of other organizations, private restaurants, and more.
Many people will also take to their Youtube accounts in an effort to film themselves doing a good deed, as many often become inspired to "pass it forward" on the holiday season. So there will be a number of individuals who will go out to hand-out food, socks, drinks, and other items, to the homeless, and they'll then post their adventures online in the hopes to inspire others to perform a good deed as well.
Volunteering and helping others who are less fortunate than yourself can be a very rewarding experience in many ways and there are a number of people who will be taking the time this holiday season to think of others and do something kind for them. They truly make the thanksgiving experience a much brighter one for many.
