in #thanks6 years ago

It's Thanksgiving Day.

It is a day to:
Be thankful (duh)
Eat a ton of food that you only get to one day a year
Watch football
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has existed since 1924 and it's just as much as a tradition as avoiding politics at the dinner table. The parade has been held at Manhattan every year at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. It's been televised nationally on NBC since 1952. A lot of people would say it's the most well known parade of this year. It features dozens of recognizable balloons, amazing marching bands, high-flying cheerleaders, and magnificent celebrities. The most notable actress being Santa Claus. An estimated 3.5 million people will line the streets to watch in person while 50 million tune into the air. If you are a cord cutter who's into maintaining traditions, here's a quick, quick, rundown of different ways to stream the parade.
LIVE STREAMINGSince the event has been broadcast on NBC it is possible to stream it live with the following services.
DirecTV Today
fuboTV
Playstation Vue
YouTube TV
Many of these services provide a free trial period so you can feel it out and see if it's for you.If you're anything like me, you locate Thanksgiving are the most glorious day of the year. I mean, on what other occasion are you invited to undo your belt buckle and top button in the dining room table while guests gaze eating their weight in mashed potatoes and apple pie? Exactly. It's a very special day to say the least. Of course, there is a whole lot to be excited for, but one of the best parts of the holiday is that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which everybody knows is that the unofficial (but totally official) start of this Christmas season. That said, as we inch closer and closer to the big day, now's the time to figure out how to see the 2017 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Unfortunately for those people who rely on streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon for our entertainment, it might be a bit difficult to see the parade. Of course, there's always the traditional option: viewing it on TV or streaming via NBC's website, but, for many, cable is a thing of the past and that's not an option; if that is the case, you may be in luck: Last year, NBC partnered with Verizon to offer a free live stream of the parade on Verizon's YouTube channel also, even though there's no guarantee that will happen again this season, there's a chance they might announce a similar partnership once we are closer to the broadcast. If, for whatever reason, that doesn't happen this year though, and you are left wondering where to see, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are great go-to choices. Truly, each social platform has its own live-streaming capabilities, and, more often than not, important broadcasts like, oh... I don't know, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, make their way on them.
One way or the other, you should be able to see the parade live, and it's definitely not a year you are going to want to miss.
